Growing Regions
At Kiwi Crunch, we grow premium fruit varieties in New Zealand, delivering exceptional quality, crunch, and flavour. We have grown into one of New Zealand's largest pip fruit companies and take pride in being one of the largest vertically integrated pip fruit exporters in the country.
Our focus is on our extraordinary orchards and world-class post-harvest facilities. With over 800 hectares of prime growing land across Hawke’s Bay and the South Island, our commitment to excellence is embedded in every step of our process.
Orchards
The fertile soils in Hawke’s Bay and Otago provide our trees with the nutrients they need to thrive, while the abundant sunshine and perfect drop of rainfall create the ideal environment for producing premium-quality apples.
We’re not only fortunate to grow apples in the best region, we also have the best team of orchard managers nurturing our crops. They’re a passionate team with decades of experience between them and it’s this experience and expertise that helps us deliver on our premium promise.
Growing with Care
It’s no coincidence we grow excellent quality, large apples with excellent colour. It’s the result of a whole lot of care and effort which starts with pruning and thinning for the optimal crop load.
Before harvest, we lay extenday under the trees which enhances colour, we train our staff rigorously and have an excellent quality control team to ensure we maintain our high standards, and we use stem clippers to trim the stems, alleviating any chance of damage. These are just a few examples of how we go above and beyond for our customers.
Packhouse
Here in our state-of-the-art packhouse, we’ve invested in the latest technology to make sure our fruit is sorted, packed, and handled with precision.
Our sorting machine takes 200 photos per apple to ensure they are sorted into the correct size and grade and defects eliminated. Then our awesome team of post-harvest QCs constantly cross-check that we’re meeting our quality specifications. This level of detail ensures that only the best fruit makes it into the pack.

Kiwi Crunch has a vertically integrated ownership model across the supply chain, maintaining rigorous grade standards and implementing stringent food safety measures.
